CorPower Ocean is a genuine deep-tech renewable energy company developing wave energy converters (WECs) that generate zero-emission electricity directly from ocean waves, with real grid-connected output already demonstrated off Portugal. The core technology—patented WaveSpring resonance—addresses the long-standing survivability and efficiency barriers that have blocked wave energy commercialization, and has been independently verified by DNV at full commercial scale. However, CorPower remains pre-commercial and largely grant-funded; the climate impact is real in thesis but still thin in verified MWh delivered, and operational ESG disclosures (Scope 1-3 emissions, SBTi, CDP) are absent from public records.
